Su wei Hsieh, after more than a year way from the Tour, made her much anticipated come back in Madrid, then followed up with a stunning victory at Roland Garros with China’s Gina Wang. Unseeded, the ladies defeated five unseeded teams, along the way, including Taylor Townsend and Leylah Fernandez on Court Philippe Chatrier in the final. It was great for Paul McNamee to be back as Su Wei’s coach, and integrally involved in the set up for such a new pair, and involved with in-match coaching, now allowed at Grand Slams. A memorable experience for all.  At Wimbledon, Su wei will team up with Barbora Strycova, also on the comeback trail. Su wei and Barbora were champions in 2019, but due to Wimbledon not being held in 2020, they look forward to being able to try and ‘defend’ their title at the All England Club. Good luck Su wei and Barbora!
